James Murdoch
12:15PM
From the icy banks of the Yukon River to the vibrant pulse of Edmonton’s music scene, James Murdoch is a storyteller whose journey spans continents—from Prague to Brisbane. Born in Whitehorse, Yukon, his artistry grew from a deep connection to the rugged north into a career defined by soulful roots-rock and honest lyrical narratives. Over the years, James has released four multi-award-nominated solo albums, including In Transit and Wondering Where The Rush Has Gone, earning several nods from the Western Canadian Music Awards. His early talent in songwriting secured a publishing deal with Peer Music, paving the way for his tracks to appear in Hollywood films, TV series, and a range of multimedia projects.
James further expanded his creative footprint as a founding member of multi-award winning band, The Dungarees, serving as the principal songwriter and vocalist for 14 years. With the band, he played major country festivals in Canada and Australia, and enjoyed chart success on Billboard and Australian country radio.
As a side musician, James has performed as a bassist with Adam Gregory, Dustin Bentall & The Smokes, and Ridley Bent.
A respected writer, producer, and engineer, James has collaborated with some of Canada’s most esteemed songwriters, leaving his mark on every project.
Since 2019, he has hosted and produced the multi-award-nominated radio show The Road Less Travelled on CFCW, spotlighting roots, alt-country, and Americana talent from around the globe.
Whether on stage or behind the scenes, James Murdoch invites listeners on a journey of introspection and enduring musical storytelling.
Look for new solo music and tour dates from James in the summer of 2025.

She seamlessly blends folk, jazz, & soul influences into her own evocative and timeless sound.

Mya’s original music is inspired by relationships, connections, and observations. Mya’s dreamy vocals on her latest single, Complications, invoke an ethereal nostalgia. You can catch Mya playing live with a 4 piece band or solo at local venues including the Starlite Room, the Dive Bar, and the Aviary, as well as Alberta festivals such as North Country Fair and Down by the River fest.
